Day 01
Colombo
When you arrive in Sri Lanka you land in Colombo the busiest city in terms of vibe but take some time to get used to your surroundings and understand how the city works despite its main street and how colonial buildings blend in well with modern living. There's nothing more amazing than witnessing firsthand the country's tribal culture strolling among the Veddas and having dinner with them.
Day 02
Kandy
Leave Colombo and head to Kandy, the cultural centre of Ceylon. The historical Temple of the Tooth, which houses Lord Buddha's tooth, is a World Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO. Take a peek at the island's attractive lifestyle; the primary aspect you may notice is the conventional Kandyan dance, which has shiny costumes and a dynamic beat.
Day 03
Mahiyanganaya
You should experience the customs and culture of traditional villages in Sri Lanka such as the Pan villagers weaving and clay-making techniques. Make sure to sate your hunger with the traditional rice and curry dish prepared in the village. Mahiyanganayas Village Day offers an excursion to the Asian Land of Rice. Although the hill you have to climb is unlike any other it is the first time they have ever seen a leopard since climbing this mountain. Reach the top of Knuckles Mountain which provides a view of the Dumbara Valley by climbing the rocky ledges. Climbers can engage in a wide variety of climbs here.
Day 04
Mahiyanganaya
Arrive in Dambana Village to experience firsthand learning about the ancient traditions of the Veddah people through full-day excursions. Walk into the jungle with the Veddhas explain to them their way of life and teach them their age-old hunting skills. Once you have explored the caves you will witness a Vanni and be astonished to learn that the Vedis have invited you to their home. The show-stopper will be a memorable BBQ dinner roast complete with traditional Veddha dances.
Day 05
Gal Oya
Make your way to Gal Oya National Park, a secret bird and wildlife refuge. Satisfy your hunger with a picnic in a gorgeous setting while admiring the park's natural beauty, and then embark on an adventure jeep excursion to see a range of animal species such as elephants, elks, and many wonderful birds.
Day 06
Gal Oya
As you travel follow the guidance of the village chief of Gal Oya a Vedda and venture onto a path that will take you deep into the heart of the forest. Knowing that the jungle evolved from a hunting area into the dense forest you see today would be ideal. Listening to traditional hunting songs while also taking pleasure in folktales is an alternate choice.
Day 07
Gal Oya
Take a morning boat safari in Gal Oya National Park to see the park's other side which includes its fascinating wildlife crocodiles and birdlife. Attend a really fascinating cooking class in the evening at a local establishment. The class will teach participants the secrets of the cuisine of the area while allowing them to enjoy a delicious dinner.
Day 08
Ella
Begin at Gal Oya, but soon depart and go south to Ella, a lovely hamlet surrounded by exquisite tea estates. In addition, you will be able to go on a morning adventure to the summit of Little Adams Peak. During your morning stroll, be sure to take in the 360-degree vista of Ravana Mountain and the Uva Southern Valley.
Day 09
Departure
Gather your valuable memories in your bag and head out of Weligama after immersing yourself in the local culture and taking in the stunning scenery and animals. Your memories which are stunning and captivating due to your close relationship with the wild animals begin at the end of your journey from Weligama.
